Thankful For Air-conditioning.

Anna dropped the girls off just after 7:00 am as she was needed at Meister's today.  We had fun but while having fun we also got a few things done such as all the laundry from the apartment and the bed's made up and some of the dog hair swept up.  There were 3 dogs staying in the apartment for the last 2 weeks and oh my was there hair. The hair was so fine it would fly around as we were sweeping. Below is a pile from just one room.

When the temperature rose to 90 degrees Rosaleigh and her filly Tessa were brought inside the air-conditioned stall.

I love it when the babies interact with the grandkids. She really enjoyed them and they her.
I'm so thankful for air-conditioning.
They also had to check out the storm shelter in Mark's garage.
It lights up as soon as someone walks in the door.
Ralph and Jamie came to pick up Dakota and brought some gifts of pears, nectarines and pecans. I know they are disappointed she can't conceive.
After lunch we drove to Marli's farm to pick up 8 dozen eggs. On the way we saw 2 very young fawns in the middle of the road. I tried to get a picture but couldn't get the phone opened in time.  We delivered the eggs to 4 different houses out here then the girls went swimming.
Mom decided she wanted to come out on the deck to watch them so Ruth had her walk.
After a few minutes though it was just too hot to sit outside.  Ruth asked mom if she would play Mexican Train. After the game was over mom asked Ruth, "are you happy now?" then burst out laughing.
I ran home at 4:45 pm quickly made up 3 quarts of milk replacer for the colt and took that up to him then put Rosaleigh and Tessa out with Jury before heading back down to the house to cook liver and onions for the dinner at mom's tonight.  Both Karin and mom really like that.  Mark decided to stay home and make his own meal as he doesn't really like it.  At 8:00 pm mom was ready for bed so I left to make up 2 gallons of milk replacer for the colt for the night.  This milk replacer is supposed to be good for 12 hours but in this heat I'm not sure if it really is so have been feeding him two times during the day then 2 gallons at night. He is really doing well. Tonight he and Rocky were in the pond pasture, I called, "baby boy" and he came galloping up as fast as he could.  Early Bird feed called today to tell me the next two bags are in but they close at 5:00 pm and are not open on the weekend so I told them I would pick them up on Monday.
