Surprise

 Today was a rainy day but it wasn't raining when it was time for the walk, the rain came just a little bit later. Today was my day to be with mom. Karin gave me some pointers before taking off. She will be coming back some time tomorrow. Mom was tired this morning and slept until 10:00 am. Jessica came just as mom was finishing breakfast to work with her arm. 

Today Aunt Jinnie taught me how to make that Irish meal of corned beef, cabbage, potato and carrot dish. We started the corned beef around noon. The carrots were added around 3:30 pm and the potatoes and cabbage was added around 4:15 pm.  The meal was at 5:30 pm and everything was ready by then. We had a full table. Ruth and Fedi came, Spark and Rhonda, Ray and Shirley, mom, Aunt Jinnie, Justin, Mark and I, Joan, Faith, Mackenson and Berlica.

Diane and Mike came for the surprise birthday party for Aunt Jinnie who turns 93 on the 24th. We would have celebrated that on her birthday except she is leaving for Hawaii tomorrow morning and won't be back until after her birthday. Joan brought the cake and was hiding in the hallway while Fedi finished his testimony then came out with the cake and everyone singing happy birthday.

I thought I was videoing the singing and Aunt Jinnie blowing out the candles and only realized now that I didn't.  Must have pushed the wrong button. We certainly enjoyed the evening. Ruth is staying the evening and Joan will be staying the night. I'm taking Aunt Jinnie to the airport early tomorrow morning so will be heading to bed soon.
