We needed to cut the walk a little short today as today is Berean day and we needed to leave around 8:00 am. Mom and I stopped at Casey's for a dozen fresh donuts and still made it to the Berean office by 8:45 am. IF you would like to read about our morning there click HERE. We stopped at the Hanna City post office on the way home to drop off the 18 Bibles sent out today and to pick up the package waiting for mom. After she was dropped off I brought in Indy, Oksana and Jewel, hosed them off then left them in the arena while we waited for Dr. Hoerr. Today was the day we were to find out who settled and who did not. Below is Jewel, Indy's filly, Indy and Jewel's colt.

Two More Confirmed
Left to right is Indy, her filly, Oksana, Jewel's colt and Jewel is behind Oksana. Jewel's colt is now named Sterling, which means quality and he really IS quality.
Below is Oksana who had just dumped over the garbage.
Dr. Hoerr arrived close to 6:00 pm. Indy was sonagrammed first as she was the one I was questioning. She was open.I only got her covered once on her foal heat then 2 days ago she was kind of showing to the outside mare. I teased her with Valiant and she did not show at all, teased her to Evan and again nothing. Tied her to the breeding stand and brought Evan over and she squealed and bucked up when he tried to mount so I thought it was a fluke but it turned out she had probably ovulated that day and was already out. I will need to try again next season. Oksana was next.
She is pregnant and due June 25th, 2022. We will need to keep her here and check her again though as she was confirmed in foal back in April and May then in June came up open. We are not sure why she lost that pregnancy and are hoping this one sticks.
Jewel was last and she too was pregnant.
All 3 of these mares were bred to Evan because all 3 of these mares are half sisters to Valiant. Jewel is due July 6th, 2022. Next was Whiskey the outside mare. She was open but Dr. Hoerr was pretty sure she had settled then lost the embryo as she had not come back in season and had no sign of a fresh CL. We called her owner and Dr. Hoerr explained what he found. The owner agreed to short cycle her but we won't be able to do that for a week. Dr. Hoerr left a shot to give her then left. I put the mares out, cleaned up the arena and the stalls then went inside for the night. Mark weed whacked more then took a refreshing swim before coming in for the night.
