Church Lunch

Indy was fed, watered and the stall cleaned early so I could get a shower early. Breakfast was cooked around 7:00 am, the kitchen cleaned up a bit and we were on our way to Casey's to pick up 10 dozen donuts for church lunch. Speaking of church lunch I was so thankful for all the volunteers that offered to help. Below are a few pictures of the morning as we were getting everything ready.

Below Israel was in charge of smashing all the boxes then throwing them in the garbage.

Below Jeanette was busy sweeping up each and every crumb that ended up on the floor.

Lunch went well, there was plenty of food for everyone. After lunch it took a while to clean up and put everything away including packing up the left over food. Rachel is serving next week so the cookies were packaged up and frozen. We got home after 1:00 pm, emptied the car and then just had to lay down for a few minutes before changing and heading out to the barn.  Mike borrowed the truck and trailer and took Sheena out to Middle Grove. The herd wasn't in sight so he took the 4 wheeler with Sheena following and found them. He sent back the video below. This video has no sound.

The transport company was supposed to arrive around 3:30 pm for Mayberry and her owner wanted me to give her a tube of something called Quietex (I think, I threw the tube away after giving it to her). She was put in a stall then I left for mom's where we visited and played games. I left at 4:15 as Mark was grilling the hamburgers for dinner and needed a little help. The kids had arrived and the house was packed.  After supper the grandkids went to the barn (it was still raining) and set up an obstacle course. They ran off lots of energy with that.

After that they NEEDED to play in the puddle. Israel was fishing with one of the whips.
Addyson brought Jace and Jack up.
Taegan found a way to part water using the whip.

Kensley rested on the hay after all that running.
Iris was playing inside and found the pineapple.
The transport company arrived around 5:00 pm with an 8 horse trailer. We weren't sure if that long of a rig could make the turn into our driveway but the driver was experienced and made it coming and going.
The first thing they did was put a tag on her halter.
Below she is turning her head so we can see that tag which had the information as to where she was going.
This trailer had a ramp and since I sold the Exiss trailer we had no ramp to practice on. Mayberry hesitated, Mike picked up one of her hooves and put it on the ramp. I encouraged her from the front and she jumped the ramp clearing it but made it safely in the trailer with me. Once she was tied and the ramp put back up they were on their way to North Carolina.
