Celebrating Independence Day

I had a bad night waking up numerous times not being able to breath. Yesterday I started sneezing and last night it progressed to a full blown head cold with a stopped up nose that continues to run plus lots of sneezing. At 4:00 am I awoke feeling hot and thought I must have a fever so dug out the thermometer but nope, no fever, just the window airconditioner had stopped. The good news on that is the Trane company will be shipping us a brand new central air to replace ours which was ruined by 2 snakes. Those snakes got inside and stopped the fan blades which broke it. The family has been teasing us, "if we ONLY knew of a good HVAC company!"  I made the decision not to go to church today and watch on Facebook live. I don't want to give anyone this cold which I am sure was picked up at the hospital. With Facebook live it was almost as if I was there. I watched Tim Funk have the morning service and Mike Kaisner have the afternoon. When the airbnb guests left I ran up to the apartment to start the laundry and got that ready for the next guests coming in this afternoon. None of the kids planned to come to dinner tonight as we all got together yesterday so Mark grilled hamburgers and we ate at mom's with Spark and Rhonda and Karin. We had the perfect 4th of July meal, hamburgers with onions, pickles, tomatoes, ketchup and mustard on sweet buns and those were served with corn on the cob, salad, watermelon and mom's special strawberry/cherry jello. After supper Ruth and Fedi came over and we played games. The volley ball games started later tonight because of the heat. Mom and I went on a golf cart ride to meet the new airbnb guests then over to the playground to watch volleyball. We watched the Macy fireworks in New York city on television instead of heading down to the river. We really are getting old. BUT they were amazing and the music was also very good. With all America has gone through this past year, just maybe by remembering the sacrifices, the boldness and faith of our founding fathers Americans will start a revival that explodes into repentance so our land can be healed. OR we can just cry Maranatha.
