We awoke to rain and it rained pretty much all day. Instead of working outside we played games inside at mom's. Well we played until Fedi came to take mom away to get her second shot. Ruth was going to take her but she got her second shot last week and is STILL not feeling well. She had 101 degree temperature but now just aches. I went to Sam's club to pick up some supplies for the apartment and for the dinner tomorrow. I used Mark's card as Joan borrowed mine yesterday to pick up supplies for church lunch. She and Ruth are serving tomorrow in Peoria. Ayanna, our beautiful Lily daughter that is now owned and loved by Julie gave birth May 2nd to a beautiful so handsome gorgeous colt by Evan.

Rainy Day
Congratulations Julie and Ayanna. He will be a joy for your family for years to come. Anyone that has been lucky enough to own one of Ayanna's foals are always thrilled. Our next mare due is Jewel June 6th. She almost always delivers a couple weeks early so hopefully we only have a week to wait.
She is such a fun mare to ride and has really nice foals. She is pictured above and below at the PRC show with Emily where she won some blues.
She is a big mare, around 16.2 hands and is half Friesian half Thoroughbred. Her dam was 24 years old when she gave birth to Jewel and that is why we named her Grace's Crown Jewel. She was bred to Evan and her foal can be bay or black in color and will be 75% Friesian 25% Thoroughbred and will have huge movement. We know this because Jewel has had 8 foals all by Evan and all have very nice sweet willing dispositions, are tall and all have amazing movement. Two have been black in color and 6 have been bay.
