Breaking Ground

The equipment started to arrive while we were still on the walk for the breaking of the ground for the new barn. The company doing the work is Wayne Litwiller Excavating.  After the walk I let Galena out into the field and she took off at a trot to go visit Evan. It was funny to see her trotting with that huge belly bump. Her udder was bigger this morning but still no waxing.

Rhoda arrived with Ruby, her 4 puppies and Iris.
Emma came running out to greet the puppies.
Those puppies weren't at all afraid of Emma instead they went running underneath her to check out her milk supply and all were disappointed.

Rhoda took the puppies to Malabar Vet clinic for their well puppy check up while I kept Iris. We took the golf cart over to the playground but stopped to take a picture of the big Cat machine moving dirt.

Iris had a lot of fun on the playground first swinging then playing on the volleyball court, riding the merry-go-round and sliding down the slide.

We headed back as Anna arrived to check out the wash machine at the apartment.
It gave an error code and wouldn't run for the last guest. We were pretty sure it was something simple to fix but weren't able to get the gas line off the dryer to move that off the washer so had to leave the fixing until Phil got home. We have guests moving in tomorrow. Anna left, Rhoda came back from the vet office and reported the puppies all got an excellent report for their well puppy check up. Berlica and two friends showed up on their bikes. Emma came running out to meet them.

They were put to work grooming Galena.

The horses were all interested in the machines driving back and forth in the stallion pasture. I was too and took pictures of the progress.

Mark got home from work as they were quitting for the day. He enjoyed visiting with them. They left the equipment and will be back tomorrow to keep spreading the base.
Phil and Anna came after supper to work on the washer.
They were not able to fix it and at first I thought we were going to be buying a new machine but then Philip found the broken part and ordered the part but the part won't come in for a week and we have 2 guests scheduled to come during that time, one for 2 nights and another for 3 nights. Both were sent a message about the machine being broken and if they want to cancel I would make sure they got a full refund but if they want to still come they would be welcome to use the machines in the house. We will just have to wait to see if they cancel. The pictures from today were uploaded to Facebook in two different albums.
