Really Packing

 Mark walked to the pier and back this morning getting all 5 miles in by 9:00 am. When he got back we went to Waffle House for breakfast as most of our food was given away yesterday. This time the Waffle house was quick and friendly and the food was delicious. Anna sent us this picture and then a Marco about what needed to be done with the downed tree.

It was across the second drive and had smashed the fence line of the stallion pasture. Thankfully there were no stallions in the pasture and no one needs to use that drive until we get back. Anna took another Marco as she was driving back from taking care of Rhonda's cat. The snow is really beautiful and is covering up all that heavy ice making it dangerous but beautiful.  Mark went bird watching with Sean at the state park and counted around 700 birds then to bird island and from there out to the lagoon beach. I hiked over to mom's condo to take mom and Nancy to Lani Kai but took the pictures below off of her balcony up on the 10th floor.  The Gulf was no longer churning and from up there looked pretty serene. 

We hiked the beach way and I was surprised at how big the waves were when we were at their level. Mark was waiting for us at Lani Kai. 

He enjoyed the morning but decided instead of walking with us he wanted to walk back to Ben and Taunya's condo and rest. Below he is walking back the beach way.

Ellie and Faith spent the night with Mae at Land's End. They stayed up past midnight then slept in until 10:00 am. It was a good day for sleeping in as the morning was chilly and the sun was covered by clouds.

Mom, Nancy and I went up to the porch swing on mom's Lani Kai condo and watched the waves from their. Joshua pulled up a chair to watch with us.

The clouds started breaking up and it almost looked as if there was a part of a rainbow behind the clouds.

Below Ellie and Faith were talking down below the balcony waiting for group leaving for the Lagoon.

Joan's group along with Bill and Bethany went to the Lagoon to hunt ghost shrimp and ended up getting 17 of them. Mom, Nancy and I stayed at Lani Kai and watched Joshua, William and Daisy who were all taking a nap. While there we watched a cheesy Christmas movie on Net Flix and the 3 we were watching slept the entire time. Beth called right as the movie was ending inviting us over to use the hot tub then play games. By the time we got over everyone was leaving the hot tub to head to wee tee golf so we instead of hot tubbing we went inside to play games. Beth had lots of markers and big coloring books and got Nancy situated before we started the games.

After the game I took mom and Nancy back to the Island Royale condo, dropped them off, picked up Mark and took him there where we had left overs for supper. We are now back in our condo packing. As soon as this is done the laptop will be put in my suitcase the suitcase loaded and we will head to bed early. Tomorrow as soon as we wake we will be heading out for home. This has been a wonderful break from winter and so much fun to spend this time with extended family. I'm very thankful for Ben and Taunya letting us use their lovely condo.
