Typical Monday

Monday's around here are usually rest catch up from the weekend and today was pretty much the same. After the walk I left for the Peoria post office to pick up the Berean mail. Stephanie sent a marco polo to see if we would watch Rizzy, their dog for a while AND is bringing some of her wonderful fantastic home made cookies for the Berean workers. When I got home the mail was sorted while listening to AC Central. So many of my favorites spoke Sunday that most of the afternoon was spent listening while puttering around the house. Tatiana's filly is finally settling down in the stall. She still calls and reacts by banging the door as each person leaves the stall area but isn't trying frantically to escape. Usually now she gives up right away. She loves and craves attention from people.
As mom leaves for Gulf Shores, Alabama tomorrow morning before our walk we all met over at Joan's tonight for games and played until almost 8:00 pm. The kids had been decorating and wow was this house lit up. The downstairs was so bright and cheery that I wondered how anyone could sleep with all this light.
Berlica informed me that they would turn them all off at night.
Below is the old manger scene from Pleasant Home. Dad made the figures and mom painted them when I was very young. All 11 of us siblings grew up that that manger scene each Christmas in our living room
I was really glad Joan rescued it when we left Baer. All 8 of us girls couldn't resist holding baby Jesus even though we were suppose to leave  him in the manger.  We also thought it was really cool to have straw brought into the house and our 2 Pekinese dogs Puff and Tinkerbell would climb into the straw to sleep. After games I went straight to the barn to take care of the filly. Sunday Tauyna and Ben brought Rosie and her 3 puppies over. Their eyes are now open and they are just adorable. They are all fat and healthy. All of them are spoken for.

Sarah posted the picture below and I thought it was pretty precious and of course wanted to share.  Pictured left to right is Zion, Pax, who is Phil and Anna's King Charles Cavalier, Nikki Sarah and Nolan's AKC registered Moyen Poodle and Eden.  Eden is going to become a big sister in May 2021.
