Day After Christmas

It was cold this morning and not a cloud in the sky. The sun was so bright that even though it only reached 50 degrees it was hot sitting in the sun this afternoon. Mark even went swimming but he wasn't the only one. Bill and Bethany's children also went swimming today enjoying both the pool and the hot tub at Beth's condo. Joan held a garage sale at Beth's to sell furniture and decorations that came out of mom's condo. Mom's new condo in Island Royale was finished today. It was Diane's decorating project, she had the vision on what needed to be done. She found and ordered the perfect furniture. It was Anni and Matt's job to sell on Facebook market place the old appliances and install the new fridge, microwave, stove and dishwasher. It was Joan's job to finish the selling of appliances, furniture and the old decorations then install the new washer and dryer along with putting together the triple bunks for the bunk room then hauling all the extra stuff over to Beth's. Diane took mom shopping for paintings for the walls yesterday. They found the perfect paintings for the condo. Below are a few pictures. The first picture is of the hall with the coat hooks and one of the paintings found yesterday,

As soon as you walk into the condo the first door to the right is the laundry room door which today got a brand new washer and dryer.
The second door to the right takes you into the 2nd master bedroom with a king size bed, a balcony over looking the bay and this room also has an ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower.

The kitchen is well designed with enough counter space and new appliances that if you wanted to cook a meal you easily could.
The stools aren't in yet for the counter space but when those arrive there will be seating for 12 people.
Above the table is a unique chandelier that looks like it is made from an old ship's steering wheel.
The kids room sleeps 6 with 2 sets of triple bunks. There is also a full bathroom off that room.

The living room has a wonderfully comfortable leather sleeper couch and a love seat that both sections recline enough that those too are comfortable for a good nap after a long day on the beach.

The living room has a wonderful view of the Gulf of Mexico looking out the big slider to the balcony.
The balcony is large with plenty of room to sit outside on the table enjoying a meal or just relaxing in the sunshine.

The other master bedroom also has a door to that balcony.
This master bedroom also has an ensuite full bathroom. Right how it has a tub shower combo but the plan is to have a walk in shower installed in January.
We are all thrilled with how beautiful and roomy this condo turned out to be. Diane did an awesome job with the decorating.                                                                                                           Ruth and I went to Walmart to do a little bargain hunting after Christmas then ordered lunch at Bahama Bob's to take back to Beth's place. Rachel, David, Logan, Luke and Abram were enjoying lunch there when I arrived to pick up our meal. Nancy was helping Beth today. Beth was trimming up the solar cover on her pool when the wind blew a piece on top of the hot tub cover. Nancy didn't realize it wasn't solid, walked right on top of the cover and sunk getting completely soaked. Ruth took her back to mom's to get dry clothes on her.  Joan's company is coming in late this afternoon and a bunch of Beth's family are also coming. Tomorrow Ruth and Fedi are leaving. Glad we are staying another week. We are all having a blast.  Justin and Matt took the jet ski out today.
Justin had to swim too.
Bethany and Bill brought their 3 over to swim while we sat in the sun. It was cold walking over and cold in the shade but in the sun we had to keep shedding the warm clothes to soak up the hot sun.
