Downright Shameful

I'm too tired today to work on pictures or anything else for that matter. I didn't walk this morning with Ruth as I had so much work to do before that the time was more important than the exercise. I needed to take the golf cart tire in to Peoria Tire and Vulcanizing before going to the Berean office. When I arrived at the office Robin was already there wrapping Bibles. We went right to work on the studies and by the time we finished we had 291 new studies ready to be mailed along with 46 Bible's. We worked through lunch and by the time we left that office we were really hungry. Hungry enough to stop at a gas station for food on the way back to Peoria Tire to pick up the fixed tire. From there I went to Sam's Club for much needed groceries. By the time I got home, unloaded and put away everything it was almost 3:00 pm.  Rosalie was standing over by Evan and still showing. She was pulled out and covered then put in the middle paddock with Hadassah. Next out was Ayanna. It has been 22 days since her last cover and she is not showing at all. She too was put in with Hadassah. Galena was the last mare teased and she too was covered 22 days ago and she also said no.  Hoerr vet clinic was called and appointment made for ultrasounds May 13th.
Irish and her filly were turned out to graze and the arena cleaned up. A bale was moved into Ribbon's old paddock and Indy, her colt, Oksana and her colt were moved in there and the gate to the pasture left open for Mark as he wants to mow. Then I came inside to start supper. Tonight we had shrimp stir fry to use up more of the veggies that had been chopped for Sunday's meal.  By the time Mark was ready to mow though the rain started up so no mowing. Irish and her filly were brought back inside the indoor arena for the night.
I sat down to watch the local news and the lead story was just plain shameful. The news reported over 200 calls to the Peoria police station all from people snitching out their neighbors, calling to report SOME people are outside and having fun without masks on and some were even in groups LARGER than 10 people. It didn't matter they were standing in a driveway at least 6 foot between each and every person as they were visiting. The police still came and asked them to leave.  It is a SHAME that the police felt they had to ask them to leave and SHAME on the neighbors that felt they needed to call and report them.  (the outcome of that was no tickets were issued but the police asked them to leave) What has happened to Peoria or America for that matter? I really do NOT blame the police here, I'm sure they are just TRYING to follow orders. Shame on the media for telling people to call the police if they see groups outside. Shame on Chicago's mayor for going on television asking people to turn people in and stating, "If people are caught they WILL go to jail" Don't believe me, "watch this!"
It's crazy how quickly we became a police state and how quickly people can turn on other people.
What happened to that Love your neighbor thing or They will know you are Christian's by your love?
