Mom had (in her words) a wonderful night. It was the best night sleep since she fell March 13th. Isn't it amazing what drugs can do? Ruth spent the night last night and Karin is spending the night tonight. I'm not helping at all since I have that scratchy throat which is feeling much better today so perhaps it was nothing. Anna and the girls rode their bikes here all around the neighborhood today. It is nice to have neighbors, especially grandchildren come here for their physical education. We had cookies and milk before heading out for PE class.
Braelyn wore her Horsemeister shirt and was ready for work.
Our first job was to clean up the stall barn.
When we finished that Oksana was brought into the nice clean stall and given a good groom.
She is such a patient mare and loves to have her belly groomed.
She is careful not to move a muscle while the children care for her.
Braelyn got lots of hair off of Oksana.
The arena was watered then Oksana brought into the indoor arena, tacked up and then each girl got a lesson on how to steer, go and stop. Once they were sure they could do that they were allowed to trot.
Even Kensley trotted.
After the lessons were done Oksana was put away and by that time Mark was home from work so dinner started. It was a good day. Oksana was stalled again tonight and on the monitor. She does not act like she is in labor.
