After all the horses were fed the weanlings were haltered and given leading and tying lessons. That went very well.
Above is Sheena's colt who is not yet haltered and behind him is Lola's filly who was standing tied. Below is Madiera's colt and behind him is Jewel's colt.
Jewel's colt is so well behaved. He is also quite a big fellow. He stood very well for his tying lesson. He was also quick to pick up on coming forward when he felt pressure on his halter.
Madiera's colt didn't like being tied but never threw himself backward. Actually none of the foals threw themselves backward. I think all of them remembered their early training.

Below is Lola's filly. She was perfect for haltering and tying but didn't want to lead. I will need to work on that with her. By the end of her session though she was coming forward when pressure was applied.
Today Dr. Hoerr's office was called to see when he could come out for ultrasounds and health certificates for travel. We have quite a few horses leaving this month. I was able to get an appointment for Monday the 21st and contacted the owner of Lisa to make sure that date was ok only to find out they are coming to pick her up on the 19th. That meant I had to run to Middle Grove, pick up Lisa and arrange for the vet to get her health papers done before the owners arrive and I'm happy to report that happened. Ellie came with me to pick up horses. We first walked up the hill but no horses were in sight. We hiked back down and drove the truck and trailer south and up that hill. The horses were spread out on the big field all grazing. They all came running when we arrived. Below are a few pictures of them. I think that is Rosaleigh to the left and Indy to the right.
Lola was first to the trailer with Sangria right behind her.

Soul and her colt are in front of Galena and Lola.
That is Rosalie's rear end and Ayanna in front of her. Rosalie does not look pregnant any more. She is due Nov 6th but she isn't as big as she was before I left on vacation.
Ayanna on the other hand is still pregnant. She is due Nov 26th.
The only problem we had with loading was trying to keep Skye and Ripper out of the trailer. I tied Lisa to the side of the trailer then took Lily and her filly in first. Ellie took Lily out the side door then I put her filly in the divider. Soul's colt didn't follow right in, that took a few minutes and we had to keep shooing Ripper and Skye away as they would run between the colt and the trailer. I finally just tied Soul in the trailer and went outside to keep those two horses away then her colt walked in. Ellie shut me in the trailer with them, Lily's filly removed from the divider, Soul taken out the side door, the two foals in the trailer put in the divide and Lisa loaded. Ellie shut the back doors of the trailer, the divider opened and the two foals put in the back of the trailer while Lisa was put in the divider and we were on our way home. I was so thankful for Ellie's help. When we arrived back at Horsemeister the trailer was backed into the indoor arena and the two weanlings haltered. Mark helped us put them in the last foaling stall. We now have 6 weanlings in the stall barn but all are doing well. Once the health certificate was done on Lisa she was put in with Jenis and Oksana. Tomorrow I'll need to move in new bales for that paddock.
Tonight Mark drove mom and me to church. Tim Roecker had the message on the first chapter of Mica and the John III. We stayed late visiting, it was sure good to be back.
