Another Super Sunday

Ben surprised me by bringing Jack and Jace to Peoria church this morning. Israel was thrilled to have cousins to sit with and I was thrilled to sit with the 3 boys.  Mike Rieker had the morning service. Israel took Jack and Jace right to the kids table for lunch. This afternoon was the reading of the memorandum. After church it was so hot we all ended up at the lake. Karin took Ellie and Magda riding then they finished up by swimming across the lake. Below is a short video of their swim.

Rachel brought her boat out and gave rides to the grand children. They all got multiple turns. I only got pictures or video of a few of them as I was in making dinner.

Below is a short video of some of the rides.
Since Philip fixed mom's air conditioner and it was just too hot to think of eating outside we decided to eat in mom's house. Mom is not home, she and Ruth are out hiking the Appalachian Trail.
Really she and Ruth are attending Eastern Camp but had to stop at the trail for a picture. Mom and dad took 17 of us years ago making us hike 90 miles of the trail.  It was a very memorable vacation and I'm glad they made us do it.
Dinner was ready to be served but Phil and Ben were still out working. As we had plenty of food Sarah, Karin, Ellie, Magda and Dan all joined us. We ate in 3 shifts. Below are pictures of the first shift.

After supper the kids were back swimming. The volley ball games were going full blast.
Mike and Diane had all the Honegger's over at their place. Willow was giving jeep rides, Mike was giving 4 wheeler rides and Tate was trying to ride a bike but it kept rearing up on him.

Around 7:30 pm we started hearing thunder but it wasn't coming from the West so we thought the storm had missed us but soon a cool refreshing breeze arrived from the East and with it brought rain.  That put an end to the volley ball games.  Today was a super Sunday and we are thankful for this place that our dad provided so many years ago. He would have LOVED today, he loved having his family around enjoying the many activities.
