Goose Ranch Party

My work started early this nice cool morning. Lily was teased and is now out.  Madiera was taken out and a few pictures taken of her filly to update the website. Madiera has her ultrasound scheduled on Monday and if she is confirmed in foal she will be taken out to Middle Grove so I have to get pictures NOW of her filly. She has very nice movement.
Next Zalena and her colt were taken out. This was the colt that lost his hair when he was at the vet clinic for 5 days while Mark and I were in Connecticut. His hair is growing back quickly.
Oh he is a fancy colt but every colt out of Zalena by Valiant are fancy. This colt is sold.
I left before the pictures could be worked on as I was due at Middle Grove by 9:30 am.  When I arrived Mike, Diane and Kari were just coming back from a jeep ride and were very concerned. They smelled a dead animal in the summer pasture and wanted to make sure it wasn't a horse. Diane and I went looking for what ever was dead but not only couldn't find anything, the smell was gone. We drove to where the horses were and all were there and all were fine.  That was a relief.
From there we went to the lake.

If you would like to see the rest of these pictures of the lake fun click HERE.  I had to leave by 2:30 pm to get home in time to load Jenis, Bunni and Cookie for the Goose Ranch party.  When I arrived Karin reported that Oksana is in season. Oksana was sonagrammed in foal last year due in September. She must have lost the foal over the winter. We got her covered by Evan then quickly tacked and loaded the 3 horses for the trip to the Goose.  WE were swamped with riders there and never stopped giving pony rides from the time we arrived until after 7:30 pm.
Those hundreds of pictures will also need to be downloaded tomorrow and placed on the Horsemeister Facebook page.  When we had the horses back in the trailer, the equipment loaded and were on the road Karin looked over at me and said, "we have to find an easier way to make money!"  That was actually a joke. We don't do it for the money, we do it to give an amazing experience to children and adults that would never have the opportunity to ride.
