Wicktoria Pregnant

Rhoda arrived this morning with Ruby and Ruby's day old puppies. All 3 puppies are nursing well and gaining. Ruby and the puppies were left in the house while Rhoda and I went out to train horses. Well Rhoda did the training. She started with Titiana. Below is the favorite picture of the day.
She is an Evan daughter and for sure inherited the mega hair gene from him. Check out that mane and tail! Rhoda taught her that she could rest on the tarp.

She finished her training with asking her to bow. This filly was introduced to the bow yesterday and today, she was quick to go down.
Next out was Rosaleigh. Last year this mare had an attitude problem. She thought she was boss and did not like to work. Well this year she is no longer the boss, in fact she is the lowest mare in the herd and her attitude is usually much better, wanting to please.
She did well with the tarp training, fine with the saddle but when Rhoda got on, she was not happy and kicked out. Instantly both Rhoda and I got after her and right away she was apologetic. Rhoda walked and trotted her.  We were both very pleased with Rosaleigh.

Her training was also finished with a bow.
As soon as she was taken back to the paddock Roxanne was removed and Rosaleigh was grained. Roxanne is so bossy around the grain she will even kick her own foal if he happens to get too close as she is eating. Roxanne didn't do quite as well as Rosaleigh did but still Rhoda made good progress with her.

She too was asked to bow at the end.
By this time it was after noon and really starting to heat up. Roxanne was hosed off and put back in with her colt and Rosaleigh. Oksana, her filly and Sangria were brought inside. We just can't take a chance on that filly getting overheated. We went down to the house to find Sarah there washing my kitchen floor on her hands and knees. Sarah is due in less than 3 weeks. She should NOT be scrubbing my floor. Thankfully she had turned our air conditioner on. Sarah had her dogs with her (they love to come here) so Rhoda got busy and gave all 3 dogs a bath. Left to right is Ruby, Ari and Rizzy.
Ari is a Maltipoo and is expecting puppies Oct 10th. She was bred to a purebred miniature poodle so these puppies will be 75% poodle 25% Maltese and for sure non shedding. Rizzy is a purebred miniature poodle, she was taken back to Indiana to visit Buddy the King Charles Cavalier and is due Oct 13. Her puppies will be Cavapoos the same as last year. AS long as we are writing about puppies I may as well post Jessica's Pugs. Below is Princess Leah and Bo the parents. The princess had 4 puppies all female all fawn or dark fawn colored.
Below is one of the puppies with her daddy.
They are 2 weeks old now. These are purebred pugs and for sale for $1000.00 but remember there are ONLY 4 puppies so don't wait too long if a Pug is on your wish list. Just for reference Bo is also the sire of Ruby's Pugapoo puppies.
Around 3:00 pm Dr. Hoerr sent a text that he would be arriving in 20 minutes. Rhoda is suppose to leave here at 3:00 pm but offered to stay and help. First up was Wicktoria. She was confirmed in foal very quickly.
Next up was Indy. We have been teasing Indy for months and she does not show. Well She is in season RIGHT NOW, with a 60 mm follicle one getting ready to ovulate. We took her right out of that stall and covered her by Evan. Next up was Oksana. She was getting checked to make sure her uterus is clean after last week's clean out at the vet clinic. She is cleaned, in her foal heat and will be ready to be bred in 3 days. Wow how I appreciate that ultrasound machine. That saves hours of labor. The last mare was Titiana. She needed her wolf teeth pulled.

She also needed her baby teeth caps pulled off. Below are the 2 caps and 2 wolf teeth.
This evening Oksana and her filly put back out in the paddock. Sangria was also put outside for a bit but her udder  has dramatically filled. She is 7 days past due. After the stalls were cleaned Sangria was brought back inside, hosed off to help cool her down and then put back in the foaling stall. She is not happy but too close now to leave her outside.
