Picked a Name

Karin did the noon feeding on Eliza's orphaned colt. We had some great suggestions for a name for him and the one we chose is Elisha. We will call him Eli. Get it Eliza's Eli. Thanks so very much for all the great suggestions. We are going to use another of the name suggestions for Ella's colt. I really like Darius as in King Darius that loved Daniel but had him thrown into the lion's den. If interested in reading about why he would throw a man he loved to the lions read the book of Daniel chapter 6. He repented bitterly all night, then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions. When he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice, "O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou serve continually able to deliver thee from the lions?"
WE all know the answer to that.
We had a great day in church. Willis had the morning service and Mike had the afternoon. We we stepped out of church this afternoon we were all surprised at the heat. It was 91 degrees outside and humid. A perfect afternoon to lay on a raft out in the middle of the lake. Mark and I were joined first by Diane, then mom, Spark and Rhonda. Of course as soon as we get together we start planning vacations.
I had to go in at 4:00 pm to feed the colt. After supper a bunch of us ended up at mom's to play games. Ruth and Fedi brought their company over, Mark and Kathy Kieser, then Spark and Rhonda showed up, Mike and Diane, Mark and I, Joan, Sarah and Hannah and Karin. The volley ball players put off playing until 7:00 pm in hopes it would be cooler. It had dropped but not that much by the time the games were over the thermometer was ready 79 degrees and it was dark out. We really did seem to go from winter to summer with only a few days of spring.
No rain again the hay is drying well. The man who bought Prissy sent this picture wondering if I think she looks pregnant.
Prissy is due June 24th and by looking at this picture I'm thinking she may have lost the foal. Mike and Diane were at Middle Grove yesterday and sent this picture as they were on the lake. They came around the bend and there was the herd making their way down to drink.
