Fun Winter Trail Ride

Joan offered, well I guess I asked but she right away said yes, to let Addyson, Jack and Jace come over to play with Berlica for a couple hours this morning while Karin helped me with Rosaleigh and Roxanne. They had a ball, Joan's house is perfectly set up for children. Rebekah came over to watch Karin work horses and it was just too convenient to ask Joan to watch just one more child, Jordan, so Rebekah could ride. All three were playing in the castle when Jordan arrived.
Jace was having a ball sliding down the slide them climbing right back inside.
Jordan was more excited about the fire engine hat while Berlica was trying to show him toys.

Sarah showed off her parrot, oh if only if only we could borrow HER for the show in March. This parrot talks, whistles and sings. She is a pretty bird.

It's not like Joan has a lot to do right keeping 4 extra kids while home schooling her youngest 4? That is a sarcastic question but I really was grateful. Today was presidents day so Karin had the day off school and was willing to help me with the 2 young untrained Friesians. But first...Anni, Jessica, Rebekah and Karin decided to have a fun galloping ride through the snow.

Above is Rosaleigh, below is Roxanne

Both of these girls got some good training today.  I left right after that to take Addyson, Jack, and Jace home to Bloomington. They were SO happy to see their parents and Ben & Taunya were thrilled to see their children after this LONG 11 day trip to Hawaii. It was fun to hear about their trip. I got home just shortly before Mark this afternoon. We spent the rest of the daylight hours working on the solar-system. Mark admitted this evening that if it wasn't for girl power this wouldn't be near done. Karin and I helped bring all the heavy poles out, Joan helped set the poles in the ground, Karin helped install the first set of panels and I helped tonight with the second set. I snapped the picture below before the last 2 were put in as the sun was setting quickly.
By the time we got the last 2 in it was too dark for any pictures. We cleaned up the area and headed down to make a quick supper of soup. It was a long day but very satisfying! We have been waiting for updates on Dort's surgery but haven't heard yet how it went. Praying for Dort, Mike and the rest of the family.
