Ribbon Pregnant Anna Not

Ruth, mom and I were the only human walkers this morning. We were thankful for the relatively warm weather. We quit after 1 round so Ruth and I could get to work on time. We had a good productive morning at the Berean office. To read about our work today click HERE.
Ryan and Logan went with me to the Bartonville post office to drop off the 540 Bibles mailed out today. On the way home I stopped at Meisters to make copies of the IL Horse Fair release form for the vaulters and Friesian riders. This afternoon Ribbon and Anna had an appointment with Dr. Hoerr for preg checks. Ribbon was first and we are thrilled to announce she is pregnant and due Sept 23rd, 2016. Check out that baby in the picture below. We could even see the heart beating.
Sadly Anna did lose her foal. We will be breeding her this spring. We must be feeding Ribbon too much, it was coming out the overflow.
Aaron held Ribbon while Anna took her turn. Dr. Hoer checked her out, all seems well, she is in the transitional period, meaning not yet cycling.
Chris was standing by to fill out the paper work. Before leaving the clinic the next appointment was made. Dr. Pallen will be coming out to the farm Jan 25th, to draw blood from all the horses going to the Fair for the coggins test. It is required for each horse to have a current coggins if attending the fair.
Karin was here working horses when I got back. She watered the arena then round penned and rode 6 horses today Ayanna, Indy, Jenis, Eliza, Zalena and Oksana. She said they were ALL excellent. She took a short cut, round penned them all together, then tied them all up, saddled one, schooled that mare, once Karin was happy with her put her back in the line-up, took the saddle off her and onto the next until all 6 were ridden. She has a good system for working a lot of horses in a couple hours.
It started raining tonight and is suppose to continue most of tomorrow then Saturday start turning cold and turn the rain into snow. By Sunday we are looking forward to single digit temperatures.
