Work Load Lightned

I had to quit the walk early again, Diane still isn't home from Gulf Shores to pick up the Berean mail for our Thursday group of volunteers. Did those volunteers ever work today. Thankfully there were many hands to help lighten the work load. Below is just a small snippet of some of the action at the office this morning.
Everyone had a job to do and everyone did their job well. Below they are wrapping Bibles, folding studies, and stamping envelopes.
Rachel and Marie were joined by Diane H and read all of the letters today.
Edie and Roma weren't just laughing, they were very busy then when the camera was ready to snap the picture it stopped working which made them burst out laughing. We have such a great time 'working' with each other.
Notice the white label on Chuck and Eva Jean's chairs? These 2 were smart and labeled their chairs with their names. We use to say if you want a comfortable chair you have to arrive early, well Eva Jean took care of that by applying stickers with names.
Aubrey and Berlica are the best envelope stampers! They know exactly where the stamp is suppose to go.
We were finished with everything today by noon and enjoyed sitting around the table laden with the fruits of the earth. Below Megan is getting our lunch prepared and keeping it safe from little hands until after the prayer.
While we were working here Emily had her hands full at the farm. Dr. Hoerr arrived for ultrasounds and we had a bunch of horses needing to be checked. We are thrilled to announce Lily is pregnant due April 14th, 2016. Marika is pregnant due July 7th, 2016 and Prissy was also confirmed in foal due July 9th, 2016. Ribbon did not settle. We will not try to breed her again until October. Whitney was checked out and will be ready to cover as soon as she comes in. She had some bruising from the birth of her big filly so we wanted to wait until she was healed before breeding her back. Serenity is a mystery to us. She is still not cycling. Dr. Hoerr gave her a shot, tomorrow I will give her another shot and if nothing happens he has one more thing he would like to try. Our biggest concern today was Valiant. Dr. Hoerr pretty much confirmed what we had been suspecting. He either has EPM or West Nile. We are treating him from West Nile right now but Dr. Hoerr took lots of blood from him to test. We should have an answer within a week.
As soon as I got home from Berean Emily and I loaded up Prissy and her colt, Marika and her colt, Lily and Indy and hauled them to Middle Grove. Lily's colt and Indy's filly are now in a stall together being weaned. I'm so glad they have each other. The horses were all up at the gate when we arrived. We think they can hear the truck and trailer and come running up to see who we are bringing. Sangria's colt was a surprise. He is turning black. He was born a bright bay but is shedding out very dark. I didn't have the camera with me but will try to get some updated pictures of him the next time we head out.
Phil and Anna were working on their new house this evening so we asked to have the girls. The farmer was here bailing hay and I can always use extra hands during this time. We put those girls right to work. Below they are counting the old bales.
They had to help Emily drive the tractor to pick up the new bales.

Emily was moving the bales in off the field. We got 24 for our second cutting which will be our last for the year. Next week we will put the electric fence up and turn the mares out on the fields. The girls were helping grandma pick up the hay that the baler missed, loading it on to the golf cart then running it to the horses.

Ella and her brand new colt were turned out this evening for the first time since he was born.
Mom came over with some farm fresh eggs so we jumped on the golf cart to take her home. We had to stop and admire her surprise lilies which are blooming in clumps all around her house.

The girls took this opportunity to play on the playground. Braelyn heads for the volley ball court but Taegan likes the sliding board.
They will be ready for bed tonight and so will I!
