The End Of Life

Emily didn't have to leave for school until 10:00 am this morning so was able to work Olivia. Today she cantered her both directions and Olivia was perfect.

Emily was pretty pleased by the time she was finished with this session.
Today was laundry day. I love laundry day, as long as the machines are kept running there is at least 45 minutes between loads that are free to do what ever I want. Today the weanlings were given haltering lessons, over and over. By the time I quit, all I had to do with Lily's colt is hold the halter up and he would stick his nose in it. Indy's filly wasn't quite that good but she had her halter taken off and put back on probably close to 50 times.
Karin and Emily took Serenity and Jenis on the 'death trails' with Jenis leading. Karin was pleased with Serenity. She was able to canter her up the cabin hill. Mom, Spark, Rhonda, Mike, Diane, Mark and I went to the fellowship hall for a talk on The End of Life. It was very well attended, more than 200 members of Princeville, Bradford and Peoria were there. The speakers were entertaining but thorough with all the information. One of the speakers was doctor, one was a hospice nurse and the third one was a critical care nurse.
Tomorrow we need to be up early getting the mares all ready for Hannah's Big Parade. The parade is held each year in our small town of Hanna City for Heritage Days. But last year it just happened to be held the morning of Hannah's testimony day. Lots of company came spending the night on Friday night and of course joined us Saturday for parade. We heard one of the teenage boys of a family that came telling his mom, "they are really make a big deal about Hannah's testimony holding a parade for her." So from now on the parade isn't just for Heritage Days, it is Hannah's Big Parade.
