Huge Mail Day

Today was a new record. Not that we counted or anything, but we ran out of stamps again when we were only half way through processing the studies. It wasn't that long ago when Ellen gave us 30 rolls of 100 each. I could hardly believe they could be gone and started searching the rooms but no luck we really did use them all. We had plenty of kids to help with the wrapping of Bibles. Mathew is now in school but thankfully Dakota came to do all the heavy lifting.
Check out the mail in front of our brand new volunteer.
Glenna came to try out this job, hope she likes it since the piles of mail just keep growing. Shirley came in a bit late, Jeanette got up to greet her and lost her chair to Jan. In this office the rule is if you want to keep your chair you stay seated.
Just check out that smug look on Jan's face below as she won the chair fair and square. Disclaimer: Jeanette was needed to start putting labels on envelopes and needed more room for that job and Jan was needed to read letters.  Dave, Kathy, mom and Jan were able to get them all read by noon and that's saying something.
Below Dakota is wrapping Bibles then passing them to Hannah
Megan, Marie's daughter made lunch for everyone today. She did the entire meal herself and served us chicken tenders she cooked up at Lukie's house served with a home made honey mustard sauce, a fruit salad made with all kinds of fresh fruit mixed with a tangy cool whip topping, cheesy noodles that were absolutely delicious, a pull-apart-biscuit bread with butter and cookies for dessert.
That meal was so good it was hard to get back to work. We spent extra time doing our favorite activity...visiting with each other.

Below is a short video taken after our delicious lunch and before our afternoon work. Just listen to those happy voices. We sure have a great time together.
I stopped at the post office on the way home to mail out the studies and also got out the 2 registrations that needed to be mailed to owners. This evening a storm came through and dumped (dumped is the right word) a half inch of rain in a short time. Between yesterday and today we got an inch of rain. The fields are bouncing back quickly. The weanlings were moved to another stall tonight so theirs could be stripped. Mark was willing to come help with that. Later after the stalls were done I spent some time brushing both of them.
A neat phone call came in this morning from a lady that lives near Buffalo, NY. She owns a Raven daughter but not just any Raven daughter, this mare was out of Rachel's mare Sandy, her first filly named Bella. She called to ask about shipping semen from Evan out to Buffalo. She was pleased to tell me how perfect Abby (Bella) is. How she is the Perfect size, the Perfect temperament, the Perfect horse for riding, she is just Perfect for her, Perfect for her family...did I mention Abby is Perfect?
Below is a picture of Sandy and her perfect little Raven daughter Bella now known as Abby.
