SCORE!!

We slept in not waking until 6:00 am. Since we went to bed at 9:00 last night that extra hour of sleep really helped us wake refreshed. We could hear the rumble of thunder and before I could get out to take care of Dalia (the stalled weanling) the rain started. By the time the water tanks were filled and the horses fed the rain was pounding on the barn roof in a downpour. Dalia was glad for the company, she is now coming to me and standing quietly for grooming.
Mom came with us to church this morning and when we arrived about 9:45 am we could hear the roar of happy voices. Leon and Eunice Kaisner had their entire family in church meaning we were going to have a visiting minister and sure enough Rick Kaisner had the message. That man was inspired! That is a message I'll be listening to again as soon as it is up on the AC sermon website. The first reading was when Saul's father lost his donkeys and sent Saul to go find them and how God gave Israel their desire for a king even though it wasn't good for them.
The second reading was the crucifixion and Resurrection for Rick made the point without the Resurrection the cross would be of no value. We are all called to preach this good news each day and not just preach but live this good news.
Tim Funk had the second service. He had been at the jail for the morning and reminded us how blessed we are to have the freedom to be here. His message was another Holy Spirit inspired and one that also convicted me. Ok I guess we don't really need a garage.
The storms that were predicted to hit this afternoon did not hit our area. Dalia's owner asked for new pictures and it was finally convenient to take them. She was led out to the field for a few shots.
 Isn't she a pretty filly?
She leaves this week for her new home. Her owner is going to be thrilled with this filly, not only is she beautiful she has the mega hair and a sweet disposition. While I had the camera out I snapped one of Jewel and her colt by Evan.
The colt went right over to his best buddy, Marika's colt by Valiant. These 2 boys are just 1 day apart.
Mom came over with a few ripe tomatoes off her plants. We traded those for a cup of ice cream. Great trade on my part. While we were visiting the trail horses came through heading to the arena. Mom was ready to go by then so we jumped on the golf cart to watch the horses before heading over to her house. The 4 mares in the pond pasture came right up to the fence to see which horses were being ridden. Left to right is Hadassah, Rosalie, Oksana and Whitney.
Mike took the company first to the outdoor arena to make sure they could walk, trot and canter without a problem before they headed to the trails. Horses used were Mika, Cookie, Missy and Bunni.

Poor Mike ended up taking out riders all evening. Emily tried to give him the tip to make the rides a bit shorter but Mike gives them their moneys worth each time making each trip out an adventure.
The big box on the back of the golf cart is going to be for Miss Molly's next litter of puppies which are not yet conceived and won't be for probably a year but mom always wants to be prepared. The small box was filled with garbage which I planned on throwing in the dumpster once mom and her box were delivered.
But when I got to the dumpster there were treasures inside, I just had to go dumpster diving. Someone threw away a perfectly good rubber bucket. It wasn't one of those cheap plastic buckets, this one is a heavy duty rubber bucket which won't break when the horses lean on it. SCORE!!
That was taken to the barn and will be cleaned up.
