Emma is still holding on to that foal. She was restless last night but never showed signs of starting labor. I'm thankful for the monitor, it allowed me to doze and even sleep some. One mistake though was that her tail was wrapped in pink vet wrap. Each time I would see that pink tail it seemed as though Emma was in the process of delivering until my eyes would adjust enough to realize, it's just her tail.
If she doesn't deliver during the day, that wrap is going to be changed to a different color.
It rained off and on most of the night and is still raining this morning. The prediction is for the rain to stop by noon. Praying it does we have a school group coming for a field trip at that time. Even though everything is soaked and muddy the barns are nice and dry. There just isn't going to be a lot of outdoor activity for this group of 19 children plus adults.
