Ice Lots of Ice

Our patio was covered in ice this morning making it hard for the dogs to get into the yard. It was pretty funny watching them trying to climb an ice covered snow bank slip sliding until they reached the yard. When they came back they went the long way around hugging the sides of the house until they reached the patio door. And people say they are dumb dogs!
All schools were cancelled the roads were so bad. We lost electricity for most of the morning. Around 10:30 the temperature rose above freezing making it possible for Diane to drive mom and me in to the shop to work on the Berean work. By this time most of the roads were salted it was just our drives that were bad. Dan and Susan agreed to come help and brought their children to help also. Our regulars Eva Jean and Shirley both made it in.
We kept everyone busy, we had a big mail day and needed lots of hands and eyes to get the reading of the letters done and studies processed. Sometimes it is hard to figure out how to spell a name or even figure out what the name is. I was struggling with one, showed it to Diane and she says, "I think it starts with Cas" Meanwhile Eva Jean asked how to spell Gertrude and mom starts with Ger.  I think she is talking to me, look at it and it does look like it maybe it starts with CER then Eva Jean says, "Gertrude doesn't start with C" At that point we realized we had 2 conversations going on at the same time and neither were making sense. Because we had a late start we broke for lunch around 1:30 pm and by this time everyone was hungry. Dan picked up 4 deluxe pizza's from Caseys for the crew.
Three videos were taken by the phone and uploaded onto the Berean Facebook page. To see them just click on this link: Berean Facebook Page
I brought home some letters to publish on the Berean blog but that will have to wait. As soon as I got home from work, the truck and trailer needed to be loaded with the supplies we are taking down to Springfield tomorrow morning.  I wasn't able to finish that job, kind of ran out of time since I wanted to go to choir. We had a very good practice, Carmen brought her cello and we practiced some songs we hadn't sung in a while. Diane served the lunch, one of the items she served were chocolate covered strawberries. I've never tasted those before tonight. My taste buds were delighted.
