Grooming the Trails

Today in church Tim Roecker had the morning service, it just happened to be Peoria's turn to pray to end abortion so Tim expounded on atrocities happening to Christians being martyred for their faith in other parts of the world and the millions of unborn unwanted children being murdered here in the United States. After the sermon Tim Funk told us of Deb's aunt as she lay dying had a vision of heaven and tells those around her, there are just so many children in heaven. IF that doesn't strike the heart what will?
Willis Ehnle had the afternoon service. Opening first to Ruth and then to John and then linking it together. He made the statement that all of us desire to be respected and loved.
Rachel came home from church to find her 12 year old husky Sasha with 1 little black puppy. They had no idea this old dog could get pregnant. Rachel remembered seeing a black lab dog hanging around 1 day but never saw anything happen and never dreamed Sasha would get pregnant. I think Sasha was trying to give Rachel a birthday present after all today IS her birthday!
After church Mark decided to take the skid steer with the turbo saw attachment down to the bottom trails. Driving that down the steep hill is dangerous so I walked behind with the phone in order to call for help if the machine would tip or go out of control but all worked perfectly. Even though it is a cold November day as I started down the trail the late afternoon sun was lighting up the tops of the trees to produce color.
The creek was not a rushing river, we haven't had a lot of rain lately but still way to deep for the skid steer too make it across.

Above Mark is cutting a trail through the dense woods and below is untouched and won't be touched as there is a pretty good sized ravine hidden below the downed trees.
All was going well until he cut into what he thought was a log and it turned out to be a pipe going from the creek up to Mike and Diane's pond. There was no way to turn the pump off from that part. Mark brought the skid steer up to the top of the dam to call Mike but only got his answering machine. Hope Mike gets the message soon. These trails  will be much tamer than the death trails of the past.
