Promise SOLD

Diane sent the picture below of their very last sunrise at Gulf Shores, Alabama. They are all coming home tonight. They had a beautiful final day. 

The next 2 pictures are of the new dock on the big lake at Middle Grove. Spark built this.

 It has a fish cleaning station with electricity via solar panels running water, lights, and instant tent that literately sets up in seconds.  The lounging area can be lowered so on a hot day you can sit half in the water keeping cool while fishing. Spark designed and built this. Just imagine spending the night being quietly rocked to sleep then waking in the early morning and watching a herd of horses come silently down to drink. Another small slice of paradise here on earth!

 The people coming to look at Promise came with a family of boys and 1 little girl. Of course they fell in love with Promise, paid for her and took her home all by 10:30 am

Mark drove to Pekin to pick up Nick for the day. Lee actually spent the night at the apartment since all the girls were still in Gulf Shores. He ran a race in down town Peoria. I think he came in 6th overall and maybe 4th in his division. After the race he came back here to help Mark. Below they are harvesting logs for the 2015 winter.

 Mark cut down a few trees along the edge of the field that were starting to encroach on the tillable. This wood is too green for this year but will be stacked and split for next year.

They were able to load the logs into the tractor bucket that Mark put on the skid steer as the tractor bucket is bigger than the one that came with skid steer. Taking quite a few trips to the pile. Below Nick is splitting while Mark and Lee are cleaning out the barn gutters.

Once the gutters were cleaned out Mark and Lee joined Nick at the log splitter.

 Every time we filled the bucket the skid steer would be driven over to the lean-to and the wood stacked. We worked until 3:30 pm. This gives us a big boost preparing for the coming dreaded winter cold. We still have a mountain of logs to split and stack. Thank goodness it is only October.

Tonight was the annual Berean banquet held at the Peoria County Jail. What an awesome evening. Besides a very good meal we got to hear testimonies from past and present prisoners. Listening to the heart breaking stories, almost all of the audience had leaky eyes and wet cheeks.
