Wedding Day for Bethany & Bill

Knowing today was going to be a long day Emily and I got up and out working at 6:00 am covering first Ribbon with Valiant then locking Valiant in a stall so we could try Evan at the breeding stand with Whisper.
Last year we had to stop using the breeding stand for Evan, he wouldn't or couldn't perform with Valiant glaring at him in plain sight. Well today Whisper was showing while Ribbon was getting covered so we thought today would be the day to try. Evan was brought up and instead of looking at the mare he stares over at Valiant's paddock to see if he is getting the evil eye. When he realized Valiant wasn't in sight he got his job accomplished without a lot of fuss. From now on when Evan has a job, Valiant will get locked in a stall.
We had a really great day in church, Craig had the morning service, while a visitor had the wedding service in the afternoon. After church Mark drove Emily's truck home and I went straight to the reception as I was on dishes for the first shift. Amy, Diane and I were in charge of loading the dishwasher, drying the trays as they came out and putting them back on the cart. At 3:00 Amy and I took a break to go through the line, then I drove home to pick up Mark who was working on scraping trays for the second shift. I was able to take a few pictures before the clean up began. Bethany was a beautiful bride.

 Now those Bluffton brothers must have a different tradition than us kind hearted Peoria sisters. Check out what they are holding in stead of the bubbles that were passed out.

I hope they had somewhere to go to change out of those wet clothes before heading to Tennessee for their honeymoon. We wish them God's blessings on their marriage.
After the fellowship hall was cleaned up and all the dishes done Mark and I took mom home. All of our kids were here waiting to eat dinner then celebrate Jace's first birthday.

 Jace is such a happy content boy. Israel his cousin is just a couple weeks older, they will be best buddies when they get a bit older.

The older grandkids wanted to take a golf cart ride to see Emily's goats but when they loaded up on the cart so did Darcy.

Darcy takes up too much room so she was asked to get off and go back into the house. We jumped in the cart and started heading up to the barn. along the way we passed Rhoda giving Lee a lesson on Ribbon.

The goats were all out waiting for the kids to come play. Braelyn is the first off the cart and the first to reach the goat kids.

Jack was the other brave child but he wasn't that brave, when Dolly came up to make sure the kids were fine, Jack backed up pretty quickly. 

David and Stephanie were the first to leave. They are going to be driving to Mexico tomorrow and won't be home until June 24th. We are praying for safety on this trip.
