Long Slow Drive

Emily, Eva Jean, Diane and I had a great day working on Berean Bible program today. With the 4 of us working we were able to finish all the studies, letters and mail out the Bibles all before noon. This afternoon Emily had to drive the orange tractor from Hanna City to Middle Grove. Mike and Emily are putting in new fence posts and Mike wanted a second tractor out there, one for mowing and one with the post hole digger hooked up.
The tractor wouldn't start and it took us a while to find the charger but soon she was on her way. She had to make one pit stop for gas. Mike left his credit card with the gas station attendants telling them, "she is about shoulder tall, has red hair and will be driving the tractor in for gas" I'm sure they would figure out pretty quickly who she was, how often does one fill up a tractor at a gas station. Thank goodness for small towns.
It is a good 20 miles from Hanna City to Middle Grove almost all of it on route 116 a major road with lots of traffic and that tractor doesn't drive very fast. She took along a big bag of horse de-wormers and ice water. Once she made it to Middle Grove she was going to take the 4 wheeler over to the horses and try to get them all de-wormed today before Mike arrived to start the fencing project.
Emily's goat Dolly, is quite bagged up today, Emily thinks she will be going into labor within a few days. She follows Emily around like a dog. If Emily comes in the house Dolly stands either on the patio or the front porch peering into the windows. In the picture below Emily and I were eating breakfast at the table when Dolly climbed up onto the porch to stare at us.
Eliza and Holly were still in so both were covered, Eliza by Evan and Holly by Valiant. We are hoping both mares will say no tomorrow. We would like to take a load out to Middle Grove tomorrow after our trip to the Giant Goose Ranch.
Eliza's filly will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. I took a few pictures of her today for the website. She is such a funny, friendly filly.
She runs around bucking and kicking out them slams on the breaks to smell (or taste) the flowers.
