Grieving

The day sure didn't go as planned, the news of the fire at Dan's school was devastating. You see that isn't just a building, it is Dan's work, the way he provides for his family. It is just bricks and mortar but somehow more than that,  precious memories of family reunions, camps where life long friendships were formed, retreats, family meals and Worship. As a family we are grieving for Dan. What a loss for him, what a loss to us as a family. Life doesn't always go as planned, sometimes life is hard but God is ALWAYS good.
As much as I wanted to stay with the family gathered around Dan for moral support, there was nothing any of us could do except pray.

In the picture below the entire building is blocked by the thick smoke pouring out.
Trying to drive home on 116 took much longer than usual, every few minutes we would pull off to the side while a fire truck would come zooming toward Hanna City for water or toward Farmington with a tank full.
Once home it was hard to get to work.
Zalena and Eliza were both teased today and both are in season. Eliza was covered by Evan while Zalena was covered by Valiant. There is no sign of Indy or Holly coming in. Dr. Hoerr is scheduled to come on Monday to ultrasound Holly, Prissy, Emma and Indy.
Emily worked Sheena and was so pleased, She feels Sheena is ready for the trails. She is listening and responding to aids wonderfully. Emily started in the outdoor arena but got rained out and ended up finishing her in the indoor. I had to drive to Bartonville so the trailer title could be faxed to Springfield. I'll still probably have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment in Springfield but I am one step closer to getting it licensed.
