Bring them Home

I left for Meisters just after 7:00 am to finish processing the Bible requests. By the time I finished I had almost 150 labels printed. These will be mailed out tomorrow by Rhoda and Emily who graciously offered to take my place tomorrow so I could spend the day with the grandchildren. I found my phone too so it was a good trip in.
Emily worked on filling the growbeds in the basement with washed clay pellets. That sounds so easy but she had to wash the pellets first and we still had no hot water. By the time she had 1 growbed filled she was more than ready to quit on that job. She, Rhoda and Mike left at noon to start bringing home the Friesian mares. Rhoda took a few pictures of the very content herd once they got there.
Above is Ayanna and Prissy below is Cookie

Above is Phoenix, Sally's colt and below is Promise, Sangria's filly.
They took 2 new salt blocks out with them, this was a real treat for the mares. There were 7 horses licking on this 50 pound salt block and only Killian on the other.  Emily was actually glad the horses were distracted by the salt, it kept them out of the trailer.
They brought home Jenis, Zalena, Eliza and Anna. Below is Valiant all excited to see the mares getting off the trailer.
Karin arrived just in time to start working the mares. Below is Eliza one of our favorites. Eliza is 16.3 hands very baroque, has the mega hair and was bred to Valiant due May 21st.
Rhoda brought out Evan to get some work in on him while Karin was working with Eliza. Evan was very well behaved and wow can he move.
After a bit of round penning him she got on and asked for some tricks before heading out to the field.
Below he is getting ready to bow then lay down while under saddle.
Karin brought in Anna for some work next while Rhoda and Emily took Eliza and Evan outside. Below Anna is being asked to bow. We were impressed with how quietly she did this.
I needed to head in to make dinner so missed most of the vaulting group showing up just as they were finishing. Mark drove mom, Emily and I to church tonight. Ken Hoerr had the lesson on Revelations 12. It was good to be there.
