Emma's Visitor & Rebekah's Baby Shower

Mary Ellen was here showing us her beautiful hand made scarves when Amy and  Regina arrived. Regina wanted to come meet the dogs. She was thinking about buying a Mastiff and now that she met Emma and Darcy she is no longer thinking about it, she wants one of Emma's pups! Sure hope Emma is pregnant.

One can tell by looking at the pictures above that our dogs don't like company right? Actually they love attention, especially from someone willing to pet them and give them treats.
It wasn't long after our guests left that Diane picked me up for Rebekah's baby shower Ruth was holding.  Wow did this baby make out like a bandit. People came with wheelbarrow loads of gifts for this expected boy.

After a delicious lunch we played some fun baby shower games. I asked Anni to bring Steven's snake out.
I noticed this snake matched mom's outfit and mom needed an accessory to brighten up the beige. But mom thought the snakes pattern clashed too much with her pattern so wouldn't put him around her neck. This is one fat snake!
The picture below is one of Fede's metal sculptures. Fede isn't just the Hungarian Handy man he is also a very talented artist. Ruth decorated it with a few Christmas balls.
The detail on this piece is really amazing. One would never know this was made from metal.
After the shower I had a few minutes before I needed to get dressed up for the Madrigal dinner so helped Mark haul tanks downstairs for his aquaponic gardening project. Mom picked me up for the dinner. Ruth bought 8 tickets and when Fede found out he was the only man going let me have his ticket. The Madrigal was fun but long. One of the really funny things that happened was when the madrigal singers came down to dance. One of the guys asked Rebekah to dance. He had no idea she was pregnant as it was dark and most of her girth was below the table top. When she stood up to dance the look on his face was priceless. He turned to one of the other singers and asked, "will you take her?" that guy just shook his head. I'm sure they were worried her water was going to break right then and there. Check out this baby bump.
We all had a good laugh. The madrigal dinner was so long that the candles on our table burned down and started the candle sticks on fire. We had to use our water glasses to put out the fire that was spreading fast. I think they either need to shorten the program or buy longer candles. Ours wasn't the only table with fire.
