Long Trail Ride

After the horses and Mark were fed I needed to head out to Middle Grove for I was in charge of bringing breakfast for the campers. Just as I pulled off the road on to the long driveway through the alfalfa fields heading to the camping area I saw a beautiful herd of horses peacefully grazing.
This would be such a pretty sight except they were OUR horses and they were NOT where they belonged. They had escaped during the night by a downed gate. Mike took off on his 4 wheeler to first fix the gate then over to the herd to bring them back. Even before he got back Chuck Haefli arrived to tell us the horses were out. Chuck was told to stay for breakfast.
After breakfast we needed 8 horses for a trail ride and chose Mika, Sally, Bunni, Sangria, Jewel, Cookie, Missy and Indy. They needed the 4 wheelers to go collect the horses which had already headed to the far end of the property.

Although they just didn't bring the 8 horses needed, it seems each time they bring the horses the rest of the herd follows along.
The weather was beautiful for this trail ride. I'm only posting 1 picture here, the rest of the pictures of this ride are posted on the Horsemeister, Inc Facebook page.
They spent a couple hours on this ride ending around 10:30am. The horses were untacked and let loose to join the herd and swimming suits put on for the next activity which was heading out on the pontoon boat for fishing and swimming. The campers had a great time. I needed to head back to the Hanna City farm. Dee, Olympia's owner and CJ Baker were bringing over Olympia and a pony to teach Olympia to swim and planned to be here by noon. Olympia is a Raven daughter out of Jenis and at 1 year of age absolutely gorgeous! It didn't take Olympia long to learn to enjoy the water. Check her out below, she is blowing bubbles.
She sticks her face in all the way up to her eyes pretending to be an alligator.
Crystal Baker and her daughter Maya had fun with their pony in the pond.

After the swim Olympia posed for a couple of pictures with her owner.
Isn't she beautiful! And to think she is only 1 year old. Her beauty is going to easily surpass her famous mother Jenis JJ
After they left for home Mark and I took off for Lowes. He is working on our patio and needed paver edging. Then a trip to a grocery store for a few groceries. When we got home we still needed to move a round bale into the middle paddock, feed the mares and cover Emma with Evan. Evan will need to work again tomorrow morning. He will need to cover Isabella's Song early then Damira the other Raven daughter tomorrow evening. I should have teased Lola but didn't, guess that is one more job to do tomorrow.
