Weanlings
Below are 4 of the weanlings all busy eating breakfast. They all need a good groom. Left to right is Olympia, Jenis' filly Oksana, Eliza's filly Night, Sangria's colt and Onyx, Sandy's colt. The dad of all 4 was Raven.
He would be proud! We will be bringing back the last 2 2012 foals, Helen and Olivia next week to join the group. While they were eating the picture below was snapped of Olympia's curly long feather.
How thrilled we are that we get to breed her to Killian at age three then keep the foal.
Diane's little dog Ebby somehow dragged the leg below into their yard.
It is probably 3 times as long as Ebby, she must have worked all night to get it up into their yard. Too bad Mike disposed of it so quickly. All that work for nothing.
The picture below was taken just as the sun was coming up enough to make the grass sparkle like diamonds.
The phone camera just doesn't do justice to the beauty.
Diane helped move Ribbon, Ayanna and Eliza over to the 4th paddock, that has a new round bale in it and the middle paddock needs a new bale. We will move one in this afternoon and get them moved back over.
The video below is Lily giving birth to Kiera on March 18th, 2011.
We are so blessed to be able to watch the miracle of birth.
Lily is due March 11th, but usually goes early. We are so hoping the foal will not be born while we are at the IL Horse Fair. We will be down there from Feb 28th, to March 4th. So are we praying the foal comes before we leave or after we get back?
