Dumpster Diving

Diane lent me her golf cart to use for chores. Hers is just so clean that I just can't bring myself to use it to haul hay bales. Those were carried this morning but her cart was used to run over to the cabin to grain Eliza and Jenis. Both of those mares are nursing foals and need extra calories. Valiant saw the cart heading to the cabin and came running to see if a mare would be coming his way.
At the meeting place for the walk, Diane came up the hill carrying 3 bags, one was a bag of garbage to go into the dumpster and the other 2 were clothes she found at a mission mart. She is not dumpster diving in the picture below:
She mistakenly threw the clothes in the dumpster instead of the garbage. She found a much needed jean skirt for me along with some other items so I was glad when she fished the bag out of the dumpster. While we were waiting, the boys came running up and started their usual rough housing horse play together. Heidi ran in to chase them but they just ignored her.
Dan was the hero today, he came over and fixed both of our golf carts. The guy is a genius! At 4:00pm I needed to be at the Hanna City park district building to meet with the lady in charge of the Heritage Days function to pick out a good spot for pony rides. After looking both of the suggested sites over, we will probably choose the one behind the bleachers. There is a big tree for shade and a bit more room. Once back from there, Karin was consulted about horses to be used, which ones should be in the parade or in the pony rides and guess what, RIBBON will be used for both. Ribbon as a pony ride? Somehow that term just doesn't describe her. Ella and Paris will be the other 2 used for pony rides. We picked up mom and Diane for church, got less than a mile down the road when Spark & Rhonda called for a ride. We left 5 minutes earlier than usual. They ended up just driving by themselves. We had a visitor from Roanoke for family night. The theme was Run to the River.
