David
Rhoda brought a couple of visitors out tonight after dinner. She worked with David and by the time she was done had him walk, trot, and cantering on his own and even learning how to barrel race. Check out the big smile below:
Above he is learning how to keep Ella on the rail and doing a great job.
Below he is cantering:
and how about that barrel racing pattern.
David wanted to see Ella jump, now no one has jumped Ella for a while so Rhoda was prepared for what happened next.... a big buck as she jumps over the barrel:
Rhoda had to laugh at that one. She actually settled her down and made her jump properly and Ella was perfect. So good Rhoda talked Jenna into climbing on:
David was so comfortable handling Ella he lead Jenna around the arena with no problem at all.
Rhoda brought Ribbon out and had David try a few tricks on her:
David has talent and guts!
They put the horses away and went over to the cabin to play with the fillies. A phone call came from the organizer of the CIRTS benefit being held on Saturday, asking if we would provide some Friesians for the parade of breeds. They would love the babies there so we will be bringing the mares and foals. Karin has agreed to help with that. This benefit is held at Weaver Farm off route 150 in Peoria, there is usually a polo match and great food. There will be 2 parade of breeds the first is scheduled at 3:15pm and the second is 6:30pm. If you are free on Saturday please consider attending this affair to help out the Central IL Riding Therapy (CIRTS)!
