Walk

Yep that's me out walking early this morning in the fog less than a week from a having a right total hip replacement. I say less than a week as the surgery didn't start until after 10:00am last Tuesday and the picture was taken at 7:25am today.
Now why this happened was because I am not getting enough exercise causing loss of sleep and how this happened is the fancy walker with wheels and a seat was taken out around 7:00am just so I could go shuffle around checking out all the horses. About 7 minutes into the shuffle, the walker was twirled around and sat in for a bit. When I realized the large wheels were handling the gravel and the hand brakes made it safe to sit and rest I started up the long driving to the meeting dumpster resting 2 more times before arriving at 7:23am beating everyone. By the time we all arrived they were more than willing to walk slow until reaching the apartment when it was definitely time for me to quit but how good it was to get out fog and all.
Diane came over later in the morning with her grand daughter, Irlyn and cooked breakfast then cleaned while I ate it. She also helped with the laundry. Rhonda stopped by with a delicious home made chicken soup and bread from Barb Geyer. A small bowl was heated for lunch just to make sure it was safe to feed Mark for dinner tomorrow night. Actually it really hit the spot, Thanks BARB! A chair was taken out along with a book from Karin and read until it just got too hot. Imagine, too hot outside in the sunshine on March 13th! Diane came over with a light weight chair late afternoon and she sat in the sun while I sat in the shade. I wanted to stay outside until Steven showed up to ride Valiant just so I could see it's real and yes, Valiant is walking and trotting for him both directions along with starting turns on the forehand.
When Mark came home he went over to the farm house and as he was walking over he heard a long screech. A young man not wearing a helmet coming from Hanna City heading to Glasford was going too fast and lost control of his motorcycle at a high rate of speed near the farm house. He was lifeflighted out. We don't know who he was but sure pray he survives without serious brain injury and for his family. Mark said he saw him moving a bit before the ambulances started to arrive.
Rhoda came by after dinner to ride Ella, it was just too nice outside not to play with horses. The dogs were thrilled she came, she ended up giving Emma a much needed shower.

Above is Steven driving Valiant and Emily driving Evan on Friday night at Horsecapades. We know it is Friday night because Emily is not wearing her coat, she remembered to take it off on Friday but not on Saturday. We are still teasing her about that.

Everywhere the Friesian's went they drew a crowd. The girls were great about throwing little kids up on them, giving many moms plenty of time to take pictures.
