Colt

The walk had to be cut short, work at Berean prison ministry waited. Eva Jean brought in two complete sets of the basic Bible study for Topeka, KS. Then it was time to start opening the mail, always a big job. We finished just after 11:00am and started calling around to see who wished to join us for lunch. We had no takers so just the two of us drove to Denny's. Anna met us there and we were blessed to have lunch with Braelyn. Trying to take a picture of her big smile, the camera started acting up, then died. I never should have run over it with the car then leave it under the tire all night.
Jenis' colt was to be back at the vets office at 2:00 pm but that got put off until 2:30pm giving me enough time to take care of the puppies and start some laundry. Poor thing had a fever of almost 105 degrees and was just not feeling well. Normal for a colt is 101 to 102 degrees so it isn't as bad as it seems. The results of the culture was not back from the lab. He will need to go back one more time, tomorrow afternoon. As soon as we were home the stalls had to be cleaned, puppies fed and water buckets cleaned and filled. The colt has an IV line in which needs to be flushed every 6 hours.
Diane's four grandchildren came over to play with the puppies, how I miss the camera, although Diane got some cute shots with her camera. When it was time for them to head back we brought out the golf cart and drove everybody back.
Rhoda came over after dinner helped get Jenis covered, held Jenis' colt while his IV line was flushed, then rode Bunni and Mika to help get them in shape for the big Colorado trip. She drove Darcy over on the golf cart to mom's late to go swimming, then drove her back home. We get a kick out of her wanting to ride instead of running like Emma. She got the video camera out and taped the puppies playing.
Gladys Haefli was the first to respond on naming the puppy. She is now called Rosie!
