Wynne
After dwelling on the fact that Wynne was standing away from the herd this afternoon, my conscious wasn't going to rest until she was checked on tonight. The drive out to the farm was a little spooky, there were many deer by the side of the road and in the darkness we could not tell if they were going to jump in front of the car. When we arrived Wynne was again down by the bottom of the paddock by herself so the decision was made to stall her for the night. Rhoda, Darcy and Emma all came with me to the farm. The dogs had fun checking the place out in the dark while Rhoda worked with Jenis on her canter. She is getting the left lead canter from a walk very nicely but the right lead is hit and miss. Wynne's stall was prepared by cleaning it, then putting in 4 buckets of water and 4 big flakes of hay. Mike was called to arrange for feeding and watering her tomorrow morning. She wasn't too unhappy in the barn by herself, just looked around but didn't call out. She still had one ribbon left in her mane. Her udder was checked again and some colostrum pulled but it is pretty clear so we probably have a couple of weeks before her foal is born.
