Spoon River 2nd weekend 2nd Day

Sunday is always a slow day and the 2nd weekend 2nd day is the slowest. We did have customers and earned $123.00 so it wasn't a total wash. Below is some of our very happy customers.

Rhoda & Taunya came in the morning to help bringing Addyson.
Addyson is quite the horse lover. We would allow her to sit on the ponies when they weren't in use but if a customer came she had to get off. The pictures below tell her story. We even tried to bribe her with cotton candy but no, she would see Duke and toddle over as fast as she could to the stairs, climb up them, grab Duke and say UP.

Rhoda and Taunya left to find food when no customers were around, but about a minute later a bunch showed up. I was giving pony rides quick as I could when Dan called to have me get a wheel chair ready for Susan's grandmother. I asked the girl riding Bunni at the time if she would watch her for me and ran inside to find the wheelchair. This is what I found when I got back.

Apparently Bunni ALWAYS wanted to go to school and found her chance. She must have smelled the bag of kettle corn, it was spilled everywhere.
I'm pulling her out of the building and hear a horn honk, Duke decided to start for home and was trotting down the middle of the road. From that point on the horses were tied unless there were kids watching them.
Steven Marchal showed up to volunteer and were we GLAD to see an extra pair of hands.
Sophia Meister was a great help but she and Duke were pretty tired toward the end of the day.

We started cleaning up around 4:00pm, took off the horses saddles and another 4 kids showed up. We had them ride bareback, Hey it was another $8.00 on a slow day. Once the clean up done and horses loaded it was back to the Hanna City farm to drop off Bunni. Steven also went to the farm to feed Star and helped unload the wheelbarrow, saddles, Bunni and move Star, Izadora and Aragon out of Star's paddock into the middle area, the Friesian mares into Star's paddock and the kids into the large paddock at the breeding shed area to give them more room. Paris is now with the kids. Mark has almost finished cleaning the paddocks and adding gravel and they look wonderful.
Duke was hauled back to Bridlewood and the first thing he did was have a good roll.

Mark brought home Chinese for dinner and we will head to bed early.
