Early Morning Feeding
Above is Izadora's colt at 3 days old.
Sangria was given her sulpha, then grained a bit while her udder was milked out before heading to the farm. Her udder has gone way down but still has pus in that needs to be kept milked out. Sure don't want her to lose the ability to nurse on that side, her foals are so valuable.
A very pleasant surprised waited for me at the farm. Steven had cleaned paddocks, moved hay up into the breeding shed, Izadora and her colt moved into the small side, the barn was swept out beautifully and everything just looked so nice and clean. Steven does the work without even being told what needs to be done. Anyone needing a farm manager, he would do a GREAT job!
I had to get some new pictures of this colt. He is SO PROUD already and struts around like he owns the world.
The BEST of the day is still to be, we get to go to church. Can't wait to be there. Besides worshiping our Lord and Savior the fellowship is wonderful, almost like a family reunion each Sunday.
