Chloe's Gone
The transport company called at 3:56am as they were driving past Morton, IL. This gave me time to wake up, dress and go get Chloe. Chloe was laying down sleeping and really didn't think it was time to get up but willingly came. Rhoda had the truck and trailer in the side yard from bringing Sangria home so Chloe was given a haybag and tied to the trailer to wait. She was given a quick groom to get hay out of her tail and mane but that was all the time we had. The truck pulled up and the 2 ladies got to work. I was impressed with how well they worked together, sliding down the ramp and preparing her stall. Chloe was taken over to the ramp to see if they were ready for her and she wanted to head right up it, I actually had to tell her to wait. She has never even seen a ramp going into a semi trailer. Each horse was offered water while we were waiting and hay bags filled. Then it was her turn and she quietly walked up the ramp, then up another ramp into the middle of the trailer. Coffee was made while paper work was filled out. They left with a big cup of strong coffee for the trip. They had one more stop before crossing the border.
Now it's time for ME to have a cup of coffee, short night.
