Diane & Bunni
Above is Diane on Bunni at 12,000 feet in Colorado. Both Mika and Bunni did well that high up and on such rocky ground. They met a man on a mule and joined him on the way down the mountain, the mule fell, all 4 feet went down, where Mika and Bunni were very sure footed and careful. The man riding the mule commented on what good horses those were.
Yesterday was a long day. The shopping had to be done before the dessert could be made for Jodi Kieser's shower. As soon as I arrived home from the store the first layer was mixed and baked and put in the fridge for cooling while the second layer was mixed up. Laundry was there for the wait time. Once the second layer was added the 3rd could be mixed up and added but that had to set before the 4th layer so if was off to the bank to pick up 30 one dollar bills for when we settle up on shower expense.
Carolyn was at the bank when I walked in and let me know that 3 dozen eggs had been brought in for me so a trip to the office to pick them up was next. Of course one doesn't just go in for eggs, as soon as the door opens someone always needs help but finally by 4:15 headed home and got the last 2 layers on the desert which was just whipped cream and then the sprinkled on chopped pecans. There were only 15 minutes left in the day to get ready as the shower helpers were to be at the fellowship hall by 5:00pm. The shower was nice, but LONG by the time home was reached for the final time, it was straight up to bed.
Taking some time this morning to read Rebekah's blog makes me so appreciate my family! Rebekah left her car lights on, called her mother, her mom calls the family compound and Joan drives the mile over to help.
Only one other BIG news to report, JAMIE RODE DAKOTA yesterday at Bridlewood! Good job Laura for training Dakota, then working with the owners so they can enjoy their horse.
