Hoerr Vet Clinic

Right after our walk, Samantha was taken over to Raven, she really wasn't too interested and kind of stood for the cover but not well. Steven pulled up in his truck right as Dr. Hoerr was called. He wanted us to bring her right in for a sonagram, and infusion of antibiotic if ovulation had occurred and as it had this was done. Steven offered to take his truck and the stock trailer for the trip over to Morton, IL. Mine is hooked up to the gooseneck and there was some discussion about bringing another mare and foal back with us for breeding.
After Samantha and her filly were loaded back up into the trailer it was time to go see some Raven babies. The picture below is a stud colt out of a VERY nice tall Saddlebred mare. Look at the neck on this colt. He is destined for greatness. His movement is fantastic.He has nice straight LONG legs.
This colt is for sale but we don't yet have a price from Dr. Hoerr yet. If someone wanted to offer for him better do it quick, the vet is already getting attached! The next filly is also by Raven out of a bright chestnut mare. She is pitch black, only a few days old and wow can she move. She is also for sale at weaning in October for $4000.00. She has great bloodlines both on the Saddlebred side and also on Raven's side. She will make a wonderful flashy show horse with the added ability to produce foals.
Dr. Hoerr also showed us his stud colt out of the Hackney pony mare by Raven. They had just been turned out and of course the colt had to find a good place to roll in the mud. We weren't about to take the time to bring him in and clean him up. But he is so cute and friendly. I think Dr. Hoerr said his dam is 52 inches tall, we estimate this pony colt should end up right at 14.2. He is for sale $3000.00.
On the way to the fields Mr. Goose made sure to let us know to stay away from his beautiful family. He actually throws his body in front of his mate and babies.
